Members of the Scientific Committee of the Sustainable Education and Development Research Conference (SEDRC), led by Professor Nathaniel Aniekwu have paid a courtesy call on the Management of the University of Environment and Sustainable Developmen, at its campus in Somanya in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The visit was to discuss the next SEDRC scheduled in August 2023 at UESD and to induct the UESD, Local Organising Committee LOC.
The SEDRC is an international association of African countries with membership from: Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa Tanzania and Rwanda.
The others are from Uganda, Kenya and Ethiopia.
The team was received by the Vice- Chancellor, Professor Eric Nyarko-Sampson in the Council Chamber of the University, supported by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Professor Edward Wiafe Debrah, the Registrar, Mrs Mary Abena Agyepong and the Director of Finance, Mr. Baffour Awuah Kwabi.
Professor Nyarko-Sampson assured the SEDR Committee members of management’s support for the Conference and the approval of members of the LOC. He prayed for a successful conference organisation.
Professor Aniekwu thanked the Vice-Chancellor for opening his doors to SEDRC and resounded that the name of the University resonates with the purpose of the Conference, hence the choice of UESD as the host for 2023.
The LOC Chairperson, Dr. Theodora Akweley Asiamah expressed gratitude to the Scientific committee and introduced the other members of the LOC to the Meeting, namely: Dr. Nuworza Kugbey, Dr. Francis Shine Gbedemah, Dr. Christian Larbi Ayisi, Dr. Angela Kyerewaa Ayisi-Addo, Dr. Isaac Abekah-Koomson, Dr. Pardikwor Madjitey, Dr. Dominic B. Boyetey. Dr. Emmanuel Bamfo-Agyei, Mrs. Sophia Panarkie Pardie Ocran and Mr. Daniel Ofori-Mintah.
The team presented copies of the Conference Proceedings and Published book chapter of the 2021 edition and later toured the UESD campus.
