The University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD), Somanya, Eastern Region announces for the information of its pioneer graduands and the general public that its 1st Congregation will be held as follows:
- Date: Saturday, 23rd November 2024
- Theme: “Sustaining Our Future: Innovating for a Greener Tomorrow”
- Time: 9:00 am prompt
- Venue: Forecourt of the Multipurpose Auditorium Building, UESD Campus, Somanya
- Guest of Honour: H.E. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo
- Guest Speaker: Mr. Farouk Braimah, Executive Director, People’s Dialogue on Human Settlements, Ghana
- Special Guest of Honour: H.E. John Agyekum Kufuor
Graduands who have completed their programmes of study and wish to participate in the November 2024 Congregation Ceremony are required to note the following:
- Confirm that their names appear on the list of graduating students.
- Ensure that all outstanding financial obligations to the University are fulfilled.
- Register online from [registration date].
- Pay a graduation fee of Five Hundred Ghana Cedis (500 GHS) at any GCB branch or online using Visa/MasterCard/Mobile Money. Graduands should then proceed to their designated collection points for their graduation gowns, and invitation cards for themselves and up to two guests.
A list of graduands to be presented at the November 23, 2024, Congregation will be available on the University’s website at www.uesd.edu.gh.

Important Notes for Graduating Students:
- Admission to the congregation venue is strictly by invitation. (Each graduand may invite a maximum of two guests.)
- Graduands are expected to be seated at the Forecourt of the Multipurpose Auditorium in their academic gown, preferably worn over a suit/jacket with a tie or other suitable attire
- Graduands must be decently dressed
Rehearsal
Rehearsals for graduands attending the Congregation will be held at the Forecourt of the Multipurpose Building. The date and time will be communicated in due course.
