The programme seeks to attract holders of all secondary and post-secondary education certificates (see details below) who meet the admission requirements. Enrollment will be opened to both local and foreign nationals.
Admission requirements are as follows:
Credit Passes in three (3) core English, core Mathematics and Integrated Science and any three elective subjects which should include at least one of the following: Economics; Geography; Mathematics; Biology; Chemistry, Physics and General Agriculture with aggregate score of 24 or better.
At least a credit in core English, core Mathematics and Integrated Science and any three elective subjects which should include at least one of the following: Economics; Geography; Mathematics; Biology; Chemistry Physics; Horticulture, Animal Husbandry and Crop Science with an aggregate score of 36 or better.
Two year Diploma holders from accredited tertiary institutions may be admitted into level 200 after passing an interview.
Credit in 5 subjects (including English Language and Mathematics) in GCE ‘O’ Level; and 3 passes at ‘A’ Level (grade D or better) and a pass in General Paper must also be obtained. Entry at level 100.
Mature Applicant must be 25 years and above with credit passes in SSSCE/WASSCE/’O’ Level including Mathematics and English Language; with relevant working experience and must also pass a written examination and an interview to be conducted by the University. Entry at level 100
Foreign students will be admitted based on qualification from their home country and equivalence to be assessed by GTEC. Applicants from non-English speaking countries must show proof of proficiency in English Language.
There are a number of employment opportunities from the public and private sector institutions (ready-made jobs but may be hard to secure), Development partners, financial institutions as well as entrepreneur who may emerge from the programme.
