Ms. Mavis Kissi is a Senior Assistant Registrar (SAR) at the University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD). She is the Head, Secretariat, Office of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor at UESD. She holds an MA in Bilingual Translation (French and English); B.Ed, French and English Education; Dip. Ed, French and English Education and Teachers Certificate ‘A’ Post-Secondary.
Until she was appointed SAR at UESD, Ms. Kissi was an administrator at Presbyterian University, Abetifi-Kwahu Ghana, where she rose through the ranks to the position of Senior Assistant Registrar. She served the Presbyterian University in various capacities, including Head of Human Resources, Head of General Administration, Head of Corporate Affairs, Head of the Centre for International Education, and Faculty Officer. She also serviced the Council and all its committees, as well as several committees of the Academic Board.
She is a seasoned educationist, a bilingual translator (English and French), and a dynamic administrator with excellent secretarial, managerial, and communication skills. She is well-versed in minutes writing, speech writing, report writing, and editing. As an educationist, Ms. Kissi has been a language teacher, tutor, and lecturer at all the various levels of education, teaching French and English.
