Melodies of Generosity: Prof. Nyarko-Sampson Gifts Piano to UESD

Vice-Chancellor of the University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD), Prof. Eric Nyarko-Sampson, has donated an 88-key Multi-voice Samick Piano to the University. The donation ceremony took place at the lobby of the University Administration Block, attended by a cross-section of the University community. Among the distinguished attendees were the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. Edward Wiafe Debrah, and the Registrar, Mrs. Mary Abena Agyepong.

Prof. Nyarko-Sampson stated that the piano was a gift from an oranisation he had worked with. While he deeply cherishes the instrument due to his love for music, he believed that donating it for the University’s use, particularly for church services and other important University events, would have a greater impact.

Receiving the donation, the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. Edward Wiafe Debrah, expressed his appreciation for the Vice-Chancellor’s generous gesture and encouraged the gathering to pray for God’s blessings upon him. He then formally handed over the piano to the Patron of the University Christian Fellowship (UCF), Dr. Isaac Abaka-Koomson.

To mark the occasion, student pianist Master Benjamin Atta Frimpong captivated the audience with a performance of soothing gospel melodies on the newly donated piano.
