Staff and students of the University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD) are undergoing a free eye screening on campus, undertaken by the Blessed Assurance eye clinic in Somanya.
The week-long exercise which started on Monday, the 31st of January, 2021 and ends on Friday, 4th February, 2022, is an arrangement between the Health and Services Unit of the University and the eye clinic to get the eyes of staff and students tested at their convenience.
The resident Optician at the Blessed Assurance Eye Clinic, Dr. Georgina Kingful, said, she was excited at the turn out.
She indicated the clinic’s resolve to make the eye screening an annual project and urged all staff and students of the University to take advantage of the exercise and patronize it.
The staff members that went through the screening were excited about it and lauded Management for making the arrangement.
