Dr. Solomon SARPONG

I am a senior lecturer in the Department of Physical and Mathematical in the School of Natural and Environmental Sciences (SNES). I hold PhD, Information Security (Cryptography) from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chengdu; MPhil (Statistics) from University of Cape Coast, Ghana; MSc (Biostatistics) from University of Ibadan, Nigeria and BSc (Mathematics and Statistics) from University of Cape Coast, Ghana.
Prior to coming to lecture in UESD, I was a senior lecturer in the Department of Statistics, University for Development Studies, Navrongo Campus (now C. K. Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences, (CKT-UTAS, Navrongo). I have held many academic positions in my seventeen (17) years carrier as lecturer. I have supervised many undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Currently, I am a member of the National Technical Committee (NTC) of the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS). We are tasked with the implementation of the following surveys; Ghana International Travelers Survey (GITS), Domestic and Outbound Travelers Survey (DOTS) and Accommodation Unit Survey (AUS).
I have at least thirty (30) publications in peer-reviewed journals and have part-taken in a number of conferences.
