Members of the Lay Ministries of the Methodist Church, Ghana have expressed appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD), Prof. Eric Nyarko-Sampson for his Guest Lecture at the 14th S.A Memorial Lectures in Takoradi on 9th March, 2024.
At a meeting in the office of the Vice-Chancellor, the leader of the delegation, the Connexional Vice Chairman of Lay Ministries of the Methodist Church Ghana, Mr. Alfred Sakyi was also grateful to Prof. Nyarko-Sampson for the generous donation he made during the event.
Prof. Nyarko-Sampson, expressing delight at their visit, shared with members of the team, insights into the University’s core values; Honesty Opportunity, Perseverance and Enterprising, with the acronym HOPE. He stated that, annually, both academic and non-academic staff are charged with integrating the core values of HOPE into their activities as well as the students.
He said, UESD is dedicated to nurturing graduates who will become agents of change. Prof. Nyarko-Sampson thanked members of the delegation for their kind words, acknowledging the divine guidance that has marked his personal and professional journey.
The meeting concluded on a note of mutual appreciation, underscoring the importance of collaborative efforts in advancing the shared goals of education and societal transformation.
The delegation included the Lay Chairman of Somanya Diocese and the Connexiona Secretary.
