Mr. Charles Kwarteng works at the University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD) Somanya, Ghana as Assistant Procurement Officer at the Procurement Directorate from December, 2020 to date.
He has a Master of Science in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Bachelor of Science in Procurement and Supply Chain Management and Higher National Diploma in Marketing from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Christ Apostolic University College-Kumasi and Sunyani Technical University respectively, all from Ghana.
Charles is knowledgeable in his chosen career and has over nine years experience in Marketing and Procurement Profession. His areas of expertise include but not limited to Negotiation and collective bargaining, Contract Administration and Management, Supplier Development and Performance Management, Logistics and Warehousing Management, Project Management, Sales and Customer Development.
He is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply from the United Kingdom (UK) and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Supply Chain Management- Ghana.
Charles started his Procurement Profession when he joined University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), Sunyani from September 2015 to August 2016 as an Intern at the Procurement Directorate.
Prior to joining University of Environment and Sustainable Development,(UESD) he was with St. Joseph Orthopedic Hospital, which is under the Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG) in Koforidua for four (4) years as Procurement Manager.(November 2016 to November 2020).
Again, he worked with Millicom Ghana Limited (TIGO) authorized dealer (Micro Mobile Links Ltd) for three years (2012-2015) as Branch Manager and Sales Supervisor and then with Vehrad Transport in Ghana as Safety Officer (2011).
Charles’ main area of administrative and research interest is in exploring possibilities of developing ICT tools and techniques to promote work effectiveness and efficiency.
His hobbies are; reading business documentaries, watching European football matches and travelling.
