Admissions and Students’ Records Unit

A hearty ‘MOHEE’ (welcome) from the Admissions and Students’ Records Unit of the University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD), Somanya, Eastern Region, Ghana. The section deals with all matters relating to admission of students into programmes of study in the University.

Mandate:

1. Apply approved criteria to admit applicants into a portfolio of programmes that are put up by the university to be applied for in any academic year.
2. Create an effective student’s records management system which act as a repository of the admission records of all students.

Responsibilities:

1. To put out timely uploads and advertisements on the admissions portal for all UESD programmes to be rolled out in a particular academic year.
2. To put out for advertisement, a concise and clear entry requirement of the various programmes for applicants to make informed choices.

• To ensure that only qualified applicants are selected into a portfolio of programmes in the university.

1. To ensure that the entry results of all applicants go through WAEC verification.
2. To ensure that admission letters are issued to qualified applicants immediately after the selection process.
3. To ensure that admitted applicants provide all the necessary information and documentations (result slips, transcripts, acceptance letter, birth/baptismal certificates) demanded of them by UESD standards.

• To ensure that student vital records are kept and filed in soft and hard copies.
• To ensure that students vital records can be retrieved within the shortest possible time upon demand.
