Mr. Razak is an enthusiastic and result-oriented procurement professional with a desire to develop more efficiently and effectively in Procurement and Supply Chain Management with much emphasis on negotiation of Procurement Contracts in line with Public Procurement Act 663 (Act 2003) as amended Act 914, excellent skills in establishing communication channels and able to persuade procurement team to work towards achieving core business objectives.
He has Master of Science in Supply Chain Management, Bachelor of Management Studies, Higher National Diploma in Purchasing and Supply and Diploma in Business Studies (Accounting Option) from Coventry University-UK, University of Cape Coast, and Accra Technical University respectively.
He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) – United Kingdom.
Razak Mohammed is currently the head of Procurement Unit of the University of Environment and Sustainable Development since February, 2021 to date.
Prior to his appointment at University of Environment and Sustainable Development, he worked with University of Ghana for over fourteen (14) years occupying various positions. At University of Ghana, he was Acting Procurement Coordinator-College of Basic and Applied Sciences, Acting. Procurement Coordinator College of Education, Acting Head, Works Procurement, Procurement focal person-West Africa Centre for Crop Improvement (WACCI) ACE, World Bank Project, Procurement focal person US AID Feed the future Project, Principal Procurement Assistant, School of Medicine & Dentistry, College of Health Sciences, Procurement Assistant, University of Ghana Medical School, Korle-Bu and Procurement Assistant, University of Ghana Medical School, Korle-Bu-Accra.
