Mr. Akwasi Afram Adjekum is an Assistant Registrar and Head of the Admissions and Student Records Unit at the University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD), Somanya, E/R Ghana. He holds an MBA from the University of Hull, UK: BSc. in Zoology and Botany, and a Diploma in Education, all from the University of Cape Coast. He is a Chartered Professional Administrator (ChPA) and member of the Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants, Ghana.
Mr. Adjekum has more than two decades of experience in the educational sector. He formerly served as an Assistant Registrar in charge of admissions and examinations at West End University College in Accra, as well as School Manager at West End International School. He also worked as a supply teacher for a London-based teaching agency and as a trainee manager at Vintage Wine Shop in Kent, UK.
Mr. Adjekum is a member of several committees at UESD. He served as the Secretary to the maiden Matriculation and a member of the 2nd and 3rd Matriculation Committees. He is also part of the Joint Admissions Publicity Committee and the Mature Entrance Examination Committee.
His research interests include: Investigating factors that lead to delays in retrieving records on student files at UESD, managing the ecotourism potential of beaches with a case study of Elmina Beach Resort, and conducting a comparative growth analysis of three varieties of cowpea in three different environments.
